ITANAGAR, Jul 20: The Arunachal Pradesh Block Development Officers’ Welfare Association (APBDOWA) has requested Arunachal Law Students’ Union (ALSU) to discontinue its movement against appointment of joint director (Agri & Allied) in Rural Development department. Govt. serious on disaster preparedness
PASIGHAT, Jul 20: Government is serious and wants disaster preparedness. So all should cooperate and coordinate to ease the impact of the disaster as and when it comes said East Siang district Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Srivastava while addressing the coordination meeting on disaster management held in the conference hall today.
She instructed those departments which have not submitted their departmental disaster management plan so far, should submit the same within one week.
She informed that an emergency center would be open at DDMO’s office for round the clock service.

5th Arunachalee Everester comes into limelight after two months
ITANAGAR, Jul 20: While the Arunachalee people were rejoicing the victory of Anshu Jamsenpa, a mother of two, who scaled the Mount Everest for third time in the month of May last, another Arunachalee from East Kameng district too conquered the same mountain peak in the same month.
He is none but Tame Bagang, a SSB head constable now posted at Uttarakhand. He conquered Mount Everest on May 21 last to become the fifth Arunachalee to scale the highest mountain peak in the world. Surprisingly, the news came into light exactly after two months when one of his relatives informed of his rare feat along with a copy of certificate to the office of this Daily.
Bagang was one of the members of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) expedition team to scale the Mount Everest. The team led by their commander Somit Joshi, reached the peak at about 9.45 morning on May 21 last to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the paramilitary force, also coinciding with the diamond jubilee of the first successful climb on the highest peak by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on May 29, 1953.
Earlier, the contingent was flagged off on April 2 by Union Home Secretary R K Singh from New Delhi.
It is worth mentioning here that Tapi Mra, Anshu Jamsenpa, Tine Mena and Nima Lama have already achieved the feat.
During the 3rd week of May last Anshu Jamsenpa and Nima Lama from Arunachal Pradesh were the members of First NE Mount Everest Expedition team who successfully scaled the world’s highest peak. While Anshu created a record for conquering the peak for the 3rd time and Lama became the fourth Arunachalee to accomplish the rare act of bravery.

12th governing body meeting of K K DRDA held
ITANAGAR, Jul 20: The 12th Governing body meeting of district rural development agency (DRDA), Kurung Kumey was held at its conference hall, Koloriang on July 9 last. All the PRI members and head of departments of Kurung Kumey district attended the meeting.

‘Bomdila GHSS to refund half of admission fees to students’
ITANAGAR, Jul 20: All Sajolang (Miji) Students’ Union (ASSU), in a release, claimed that the school authority of Bomdila GHSS has assured to refund half of the admission fee that were taken excessively from students during admission. The assurance came after ASSU vigorously pursued the matter with the school authority.
ASSU had alleged collection of hefty fees from students by the school authority by not complying with government norms, and the matter was apprised to the Director of School Education (DSE) through a memorandum recently.

The purpose of the Guru Purnima celebration is to turn back and review and see in this last one year how much one has progressed in life. For a seeker, Guru Purnima is a day of significance, is a day of New Year. It is the day to review one’s progress on the spiritual path and renew one’s determination and focus on the goal, and to resolve what one wants to do in the coming year. As the full moon rises and sets, tears of gratitude arise and repose into the vastness of one’s own self.”
You know, our body has millions of cells, and each cell has its own life. Many cells are being born every day and many are dying. So, you are a moving town. So many cities are on the planet Earth and planet Earth is revolving and moving around the Sun. Same way, there are so many cells and so many living beings inside you and you are moving around. You are a moving township. Like in a beehive, there are so many bees which come and sit, but there is one queen bee. If the queen bee goes away, every other bee goes away. In the same way, there is an atom in our body, the queen bee. If that is not there, everything else goes away. Locate in that, in that tiniest of the tiny atom, the atma or the self. It is everywhere yet nowhere. That is the queen bee and that is what you are. That is what the Divine is, and that is the Guru principle.
Like there is fatherhood, motherhood, there is Guruhood also. You all have to play Guruhood at least to somebody. You do play, you keep giving advices and guiding people consciously or unconsciously, and give them love and care. But do it with 100 percent without expecting anything in return. That is living the Guruhood, living the self. There is no difference between the Divine, you and the Guru Principle. It is all coming to one thing, the queen bee.
Meditation is relaxing and reposing in that atom. So, think of all the things that you could be grateful for, and ask what you want. And bless everybody. We receive, but not just receiving is enough, we should give and bless those who are in need.
When you rest in your own nature, there is no conflict. But usually we feel a conflict. We feel bad about a negative quality we have or something that we did. A Guru is one who lifts these burdens from you that you yourself cannot carry — and kindles in you devotional love. Offer everything to the Master — your anger, your frustration, all your bad feelings and good feelings. Your negativity pulls you down. Your positive qualities bring pride and arrogance in you. Your whole life becomes a big weight. When you offer it all, you become free. You become light like a flower. You can again smile and rejoice in the moment. What remains in you is pure love.
